Doug the Magnificent!

This is a video of the late, great and truly inspirational Doug Hepburn. Born with a club foot and poor eyesight, Doug overcame these difficulties to become one of the strongest men of all time. Here's Doug doing what many consider a true test of a man's strength. This is 380lbs/172.5kg in what is basically a power clean (split style) and STRICT military press. Just incredible! Few men can match that kind of power today.  This was  54 years ago!!

I know a guy in Nshville, Tennessee who is a world class pushpresser. His name is Matt Poe. He has several great videos of pushpressing on www.mattpoe.com. He is considered on of the best. I saw him demonstrate the lift with Ed Coan in Atlanta a few months ago He has some raw power and incredible technique.
