Back is still stiff and sore, and my left hamstring is messed up. Sore all the way up into my glute, and if I try to sit on the left side of my ass, I get a sharp pain down into my hamstring. It hurt just as bad pre training as it did post, so I didn't mess it up any more, but it is definitely limiting my deadlifting and causing my back pain.
I got up late, the high winds knocked out my power some time in the night and thus my alarm didn't go off. I was supposed to go early and bench, but I didn't get up till 7:15, so that was out the window. That was the start to a shitty day.
-Cambered bar off of sponge bob box: Lance was sick so we just went raw. Worked up to a fairly easy 495 then missed 535. I think if I took another shot at it I would have got it, but I said to hell with it and considered it de-loading.
-Deads: 565x1, 600x1. My speed is bad right now, not really sure why. I think it is the lack of shrugs, which I have put back into my routine. Back when I hit 715 with strength to spare I was doing 515 for 10s in the power shrug. Everything else about my training is the same, so I am thinking the lack of the power shrug in my routine is what is making me slow. 600 felt easy, but it was just very very slow which is uncharacteristic for me.
-Rack pulls: 2 quadrupled mini bands on each side, bar set right below knee caps: 315 x2, x2, x2.
Done. Got home around 12:20 pm in a fucking white out snow storm and found out my the guitarist for my step-son's band was in a bad accident about 4 miles from our house. He was here at around 11 to turn on the heaters in the garage so they could jam at 1, and when he left to go into town he was rear ended by a truck which pushed him into another car. The accident itself didn't hurt him, but when he got out of the car a passing pick-up truck lost control on the snow covered roads and hit him, throwing him a good ways, knocking him out, and cutting his head badly. They took him to Pittsburgh today as a precautionary move, but they think he will be okay and won't need surgery.
Feel like shit today, sore all over. Took about 20 minutes and had my wife stretch me, I am incredibly inflexible and I think this may be causing the pains in the hamstring and back. The real question is, can I keep stretching in and do it every day? I then had an Epsom salt soak for about 20 minutes. Still sore, but not as bad as I was.
The game plan may call for a raw meet in April, just have to wait and see how everthing goes.
