David Morgan is a 5 times Commonwealth Games Olympic Weightlifting Champion, 3 time Olympian and current Masters World Record Holder. Recently he took on one of the better challenge workouts Crossfit offers.
The workout is called the King Kong and involves 3 rounds of a single rep with a 455lb deadlift, 2 muscle ups on rings, 250lb squat clean for 3 reps and 3 handstand pushups. This is a man maker!
David set about the workout but upped the barbell to 500lbs for the deadlift and 275lbs for the squat clean.
I think it's fair to say he made his point. Olympic lifters are fit!

He's clearly extremely strong - one of the strongest people in the world. However, the crossfit complaint about O-lifters is not that they aren't strong, it's that they have to sacrifice certain other important elements of fitness in order to be the best at strength. Doing one of CF's shortest workouts at scaled-up weights but without a full range of motion doesn't disprove that theory - all it does is confirm that O-lifters are indeed exceedingly good at very short workouts at very high weights, and not much else. If you want to see how fit this guy really is, put him up against Fight Gone Bad or the Filthy Fifty.

the guy is def. strong. But his muscle-ups, squat cleans and handstand don't even come close to a full range of motion and therefore can't be compared to a legit peformance.
