I cam up with a new kind of template that appealed to me just because of it's symmetry. Basically, one day I do 2 arm kb snatches, and 1 arm kb jerks (or long cycle c&js) and on the next kb training day I do 1 arm kb snatches, and 2 arm kb jerks (or LC)
Today this is what I did...after dabbling, this was the first serious run through the workout.
2ASnatch: 12s/4 min/75 reps/HR~160 (HR was taken by counting 15s then x by 4 about 15-20 seconds after the set's completion)
1AJerk: 24/1mph/4m total/12RPM HR~120
2ASnatch: 16sx1m/20, x1m/21, x1m/22, x1m/24 1 min rest in between: HR 168/172/176/176
1ASwing: 15L/15R HR~172, 1m rest, 15L/15R HR~176
Get Ups: 16kgx3L, 3R, 3L, 3R
-get ups weren't as easy at they should be. I measured my HR after the last set of 3 and it was around 170
A few things.
-I wish I would have done more 1AJerk sets. I will have to add some more in. I am taking my time breaking myself in, since I want to be able to add time frequently.
-I'm sweaty and tired as hell.
-I've got this fucked up weakness in my left hand and arm that I think
is due to a sore neck I had 3 out of the last 5 weeks. I am doing a lot of movements
from the Inside-Out DVD as a part of a program to regain lost mobility in my shoulders, but it may be more
cervical in nature, so I'm doing a lot of neck mobility and traction
too. I can't do any chins because of this....went from 3-4 to 0. This just snuck up on me. I have no pain right now even ~12 hours after training. My grip is impacted, my bent rowing in impacted, chins are affected...I'm not sure about pressing or curling with that arm yet, since I haven't tried those. I'll give it a few weeks and then if things haven't changed, it's probably off to see a physician.

What neck stuff are you doing right now?

Freehand:
1. Gentle neck stretches. Turning from side to side. Lowering my ear towards my shoulders. Gentle neck circles.
2. Neck slides - Left and right, front and back (the Egyptian and the Chicken). Once again, these are gentle, not pushing.
3. Figure 8s leading with the chin
With Jumpstretch band:
1. Band around back of neck, other end attached to rack. Backing up so band is putting a bit of pressure on the neck, then moving head around gently. Going up and down the cervical area like that.
2. Band Traction. This is basically having a band around the chin and the back of my head, then lowering down and having the bands pull the head up. I moved the head around gently.
These two can be seen at "The Rubber Band Man" article by Dave Tate on T-mag about Dick Hartzell.
